Low Carbon Cooking with Chef Alejandra Schrader
The climate change crisis affects all of us, but it is the poorest among us who suffer the most. There are so many ways we can tackle the climate crisis together, and some that are simple enough to do right from your home! We invite you to join us for a cooking demo next week, where you'll learn how you can be part of the solution in your kitchen.

Wednesday, July 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET/ 5:00 p.m. PT, you're invited to Low-Carbon Cooking with Chef Alejandra Schrader, Oxfam Sisters on the Planet Ambassador and author of The Low-Carbon Cookbook. Chef Schrader will be joined by Ken Concepcion, co-owner of cookbook shop Now Serving, and Laurel Pegorsch, climate change policy advisor at Oxfam.

During the 45-minute conversation, you will:

- Follow along as Chef Schrader prepares some delicious low-carbon recipes that you can make at home, like mango and ginger gazpacho, amaranth tabbouleh, and papaya poke stack

- Hear about the effects of climate change on food systems around the globe

- Discuss how Oxfam and our partners are fighting the root causes and impacts of climate change

Jul 21, 2021 08:00 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)
